How To Apply

The Application Process:

If you are new to Row Abroad, you will need to fill in the application & pay a $500 deposit, of that deposit all of but $150 is refundable.  It is important to understand that we are interested in taking engaged rowers and students.  We are not worried about the level of your rowing ability, as long as the athletes have a desire to get better and are engaged in rowing.  Due to the nature of the trip, the athletes need to be independent and motivated to be engaged in the activities we provide through the program.

Expectations:

We expect Row Abroad participants to maintain high standards of personal behavior. Students who violate our few rules are subject to dismissal at our sole discretion. Parents are responsible for making arrangements for, bearing the cost of, and providing supervision for dismissed students’ immediate travel home, even in situations that require extended international travel, and no refund of the program tuition is given.

At Row Abroad we take pride in our reputation for careful, thorough planning and attention to detail. The descriptions of our programs are based on our experiences in previous summers and our plans for this summer. It is inevitable that some things described here will not happen exactly as presented. To get the most out of the experience, participants need to be flexible in responding to unforeseen situations, and creative in taking advantage of unexpected opportunities. We expect Row Abroad participants to share responsibility for the success of their experience.
